Founded by Matthew Matta and Marc Ezzi, Captain was built on a shared passion for construction, design, and delivering high-quality renovation solutions that truly elevate how people live. With hands-on experience and a commitment to excellence, Matthew and Marc lead every project with attention to detail, transparency, and a client-first approach.
MEET THE team
Matthew Matta holds a Civil Engineering degree from UMass Lowell and previously managed large-scale construction projects at Consigli, including high-rise residential, commercial, and institutional developments across Massachusetts. His expertise in project management, scheduling, and field operations helps ensure every project is delivered efficiently, on budget, and on time.
Marc Ezzi began his career in finance before founding Ezzi Property Group, a real estate investment and management company that owns and operates hundreds of residential units throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Through years of hands-on renovations and redevelopment projects, Marc became a licensed general contractor and developed extensive experience in residential construction and asset improvement.
Having been friends for over 20 years, Marc and Matt combined their backgrounds in real estate, construction, engineering, and project management to create Captain Contracting. What began as an in-house construction team supporting Ezzi Property Group evolved into a full-service contracting company focused on delivering high-quality projects with professional execution, transparent communication, and an owner's mindset.
